Do you have
waterfront rooms?
Yes! All units at Pinestead
Reef Resort face the water. Each unit directly faces Grand
Traverse bay and has a gorgeous view of the water!
Do you have
walkouts or balconies on the beach?
Yes! All 1st floor units are walkouts to the beach area.
All 2nd and 3rd floor units have balconies on the beachside, most of
them private.
What type of
rooms do you have?
We have studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units, and one 3 bedroom
unit (limited availability). The 2 bedroom
units have 2 full bathrooms and the 3 bedroom unit has 3 full bathrooms. All unit
types are waterfront and have a
full size kitchen.
How many people
can a room accommodate?
Studio and 1 Bedroom units sleep up to 6 people, and 2 Bedroom units
sleep up to 8 people.
How many beds
do the rooms have?
The studio & 1 bedroom units have two beds in the bedroom.
The 2 bedroom units have either four double beds or two
queens & one king. All the units have a queen size sleeper sofa
in the living room.
Do you have
cable TV?
Yes! We have a full lineup of cable channels, including HBO.
Also, all units have a TV with a DVD player in the living room, and a
TV with a video player in the bedroom. Video & DVD movie rentals are
available at the front desk.
Do the rooms have internet access?
Yes! All the telephones have data ports for dial-up
access, and FREE high-speed wireless access is available throughout the
resort. Also, there is a high-speed computer
available in the lobby area for guest usage for a nominal fee.
Do you charge
more for extra adults or children?
No! There is NO CHARGE for extra adults or children staying with
a registered guest, as long as the maximum occupancy number is not
exceeded. The nightly rate is a flat rate for the rental of the
unit, it is not based on how many people are occupying the unit.
Do you have
cribs or highchairs that you can provide?
Yes! We will put a crib and/or highchair in the unit prior to
your arrival for FREE.
Do you have
non-smoking Rooms?
Yes!
All units are non-smoking. No smoking is permitted in any
indoor area of the resort. Smoking is only permitted outdoors on
the beach, parking lot or unit balconies.
What time is
check-in and check-out?
Check in is 5 pm or later for
renters and timeshare exchange guests. Check out is by 11 am for all owners & guests.
Early check-ins and/or late check-outs may not be possible, depending
on the day of the week. Please ask us in advance.
We expect to
arrive late. What is the latest we can check-in?
You may check-in anytime you want.
However, we ask that you call us if you plan to arrive after
11 pm to arrange for a late check-in. We may need to
coordinate that with you.
Do you have
in-room "Spas"?
No, sorry. However, we do have a large "Spa" hot tub in
our indoor pool area along with a heated
pool and sauna. Also, we have exercise equipment
available for your use.
Do you allow
pets?
Sorry, we have a strict no pets policy.
Do you have an
elevator?
Yes. Our resort has 3 floors, and an elevator is centrally
located to serve all floors.
How far are you
from downtown Traverse City?
Approximately 3 miles.
How far are you
from the casino?
Turtle Creek Casino is approximately 8 miles, and Leelanau Sands
Casino is approximately 25 miles.
How far away
is the nearest skiing?
The nearest skiing is at Mt Holiday, a smaller local ski hill
approximately 2 miles away. The nearest major ski areas are
Shanty Creek Resort (35 miles) and Crystal Mountain Resort (37 miles).
Boyne Mountain is approximately a 1 hour & 10 minute drive.
How far are
you from Mackinac Island?
Mackinac City, where you catch the ferry (seasonal) to the island, is 100 miles
away.
How is
the weather or what will the weather be like when I'm there?
